Staging Tips That Bring Buyers

The spring real esatate market is heating up, making now the time to give your backyard some sizzle. Outdoor living spaces can have a big impact on home value, so consider these staging tips to add a little more "hot" to your property..

Clean It Up

Clear away debris, pressure-wash the patio and restain weathered decking. Liven up landscaping with evergreen shrubs, spring flowers and fresh mulch.

Connect the Spaces

Buyers are drawn to outdoor areas that feel like an extension of the home. Create a cohesive flow by echoing your interior color scheme with accessories like outdoor rugs, throw pillows and plants.

Create an Entertainment Zone

Stage an outdoor kitchen with the grill as the centerpiece. Add a rolling card or small side table to serve as a prep island. Finish the look with comfortable seating and subtle lighting to help buyers envision the good times awaiting them in their backyard.
